A few quiet rules, written plainly. How we ship, how we handle the pieces you buy, and how we treat your information — collected here for clarity and ease.
French Girl Vintage currently ships within the United States only. Every order is hand-packaged from Lexington, Kentucky and dispatched via insured carrier. International shipping is not yet available; we’re working on it for select markets in the seasons ahead.
Please verify your shipping address before submitting an order. We are unable to redirect a package once it has shipped, and any delivery refused or returned due to an incorrect address may incur a re-shipment fee.
Orders over $500 ship with signature required. This protects your purchase and ensures it reaches the intended recipient.
Every piece in our collection is one of one — vintage, authenticated, and curated by hand. Because of this, all sales are final. We cannot offer returns, exchanges, or store credit on any item, regardless of reason or condition at time of receipt.
Vintage and pre-owned luxury pieces are unique. Each item is photographed thoroughly, condition-graded honestly, and described in detail before listing. We invite you to read carefully, ask anything, and take your time before purchasing — we’re happy to provide additional photographs, measurements, or condition notes by request.
Every listing includes a condition grade (Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair) and a written condition report disclosing any visible wear, repairs, or signs of age. Vintage items are expected to show character — this is part of their charm and provenance, not a flaw.
While all sales are final, we stand behind the accuracy of our listings. If a piece arrives materially different from its description — for example, a misidentified designer, an undisclosed major defect, or evident shipping damage — please contact us within 3 calendar days of delivery with photographs. We will review each case individually and resolve it fairly.
Every piece is authenticated before listing. If a third-party authenticator (an authorized brand boutique or a recognized authentication service) confirms in writing that an item we sold is not authentic, we will issue a full refund of the purchase price upon return of the item in its original condition. This is the one exception to our final-sale policy.
French Girl Vintage collects only the information necessary to deliver your purchases, respond to your questions, and (with your permission) share occasional notes about new arrivals. We do not sell your personal information — not now, not ever.
At the moment any form on our site requests your information, we tell you exactly what we’re collecting, why, how long we’ll keep it, and whether it will ever leave our systems. If we change those practices, we update this page and date the revision.
We retain only what is useful, only as long as needed. The schedule below reflects our approach — aligned with retail best practices and applicable U.S. tax, financial, and privacy laws.
To exercise any right, write to hello@frenchgirlvintage.com. We respond to verifiable requests within 30 days.
Only the operational partners required to fulfill your order: our payment processor, shipping carriers, the email service that delivers our newsletter, and our analytics provider. Each is bound by contract to protect your data and use it only for the service they provide. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to anyone, ever.
When you give us your email or phone number, we tell you why we’re asking, what you’ll receive, and how to stop receiving it. Consent is always active and affirmative — no pre-checked boxes, no buried fine print, no dark patterns.
If you’ve opted in to our newsletter, expect roughly 2–4 messages per month — new arrivals, occasional editorial features, and notice of private sales. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link and our physical address, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act.
Operational emails — order confirmations, shipping notices, refund updates — are sent regardless of marketing preferences, because they’re necessary to complete your purchase.
SMS is opt-in only and never required to make a purchase. If we offer SMS in the future, you’ll receive a confirmation message describing the message types, frequency, that message and data rates may apply, and how to opt out.
We do not share SMS opt-in data, phone numbers, or consent records with any third party — other than the messaging service provider acting on our behalf, who is bound by data protection obligations.
We keep documentation of every opt-in: the date and time, the method (e.g., website form, email reply, SMS keyword), and the exact language presented at the moment of consent. These records are retained for a minimum of four years, in compliance with TCPA statute of limitations requirements.
Opting out should be as easy as opting in. Our preferences page presents withdrawal of consent with the same clarity, the same number of steps, and the same prominence as the original opt-in — in line with current CCPA / CPRA guidance against dark patterns.
We use a small number of cookies to make the site work and to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use it. Our cookie banner lets you accept all, decline non-essential cookies, or customize by category — and you can change your choices at any time.
When you submit your cookie preferences, we display a small confirmation (“Preferences saved”) so you know your choice was registered. You can revisit the banner at any time via the Cookie Settings link in the site footer. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals automatically as opt-out requests.
For privacy requests, shipping questions, condition inquiries, or simply to say hello — write to us. We read every message, and we respond within two business days.
